NHL Rumors: Dallas Stars Listening to Trade Offers

The Dallas Stars are shopping netminder Anton Khudobin, according to Jeff Marek of Sportsnet. The Stars are comfortable moving forward with the tandem of Jake Oettinger and Braden Holtby and have been streaking of late.

According to Marek the Stars have heard from a few teams already and one team who has interest is the Buffalo Sabres. After the Malcolm Subban trade we'll be curious to see how that interest has swayed in either direction.

It's going to be a hard contract to move as Khudobin has two seasons left on his deal, paying him $3.3 million. Considering this season he has a .873 save percentage and a 3.73 goals against average, the Stars will have to do a great job to emphasis his last seasons seasons in Dallas when he was a leader in most of the major categories for netminders.

As for the Stars, they have Holtby who is enjoying a bounce-back season in Dallas after a disappointing season in Vancouver. He's been on fire with a .927 save %, meanwhile Oettinger who is only 22 years old owns a blazing .951 save % in his six appearances.

Some teams who are looking for goalie depth include the Montreal Canadiens, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Colorado Avalanche. Expect to see Khudobin dealt to one of these teams before the trade deadline.
