NHL Rumors: Marc Bergevin to the Vancouver Canucks
In one of the wildest days across the NHL, there's been several rumors flying around about suspensions, hiring and firings. Included in all the hype is the rumor that Marc Bergevin could be headed to the Vancouver Canucks to be their next general manager.
It appears the Montreal Canadiens set off a fire storm across the NHL after letting go most of their management team recently. Now the Vancouver Canucks and Philadelphia Flyers have followed suit with some changes and it sounds like the Bergevin news could be the cherry on top.
I'm hearing the Vancouver Canucks are very interested in Marc Bergevin for the now-open GM job

Bergevin who was fired in the final season of his contract in Montreal would be an interesting fit in Vancouver after signing Tyler Toffoli away from the team a couple of years ago. It feels like that move was one of the first things that set off the negative spiral for the Canucks and Jim Benning.
The Canucks are going with a four headed monster for now as far as hockey operations decisions go, including having both Sedin brothers working closely with player transactions.
Bergevin is also on the radar of several teams in different capacities including the Chicago Blackhawks, here's what ESPN hockey insider Greg Wyshynski had to say about his future:
The Canadiens had the 10th-most postseason wins of any team during his tenure. His weaknesses as an executive were glaring: some specious contracts to veteran players, odd decisions on his coaches, and a draft and development history that frankly could be disqualifying for future endeavors. The best player the Canadiens drafted and developed under Bergevin plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning -- defenseman Mikhail Sergachev (who was traded for Jonathan Drouin).
As for his immediate future, the New York Post reported in October that Bergevin "just might wind up in Los Angeles next season working with Kings president Luc Robitaille. There's another interesting option: The Chicago Blackhawks' general manager job that was vacated when Stan Bowman stepped aside
Keep an eye on the Canucks, seems like they will be calling Bergevin this week for a chat.
