NSFW Video: Hot Mic Catches Brandon Tanev Chirping Jeff Skinner

Seattle Kraken forward Brandon Tanev knows his job is to be a pest out on the ice and needless to say against the Buffalo Sabres earlier this week, Tanev made sure Sabres forward Jeff Skinner knew he was out there. Tanev delivered a ruthless chirp that was picked up on a hot mic between the benches.

That one probably hurt, although Skinner's now rich so who really cares right? Tanev was referring to the eight-year $72-million deal the Sabres handed the shifty forward back in June of 2019. Skinner was coming off a season where he recorded 40 goals and 63 points in 82 games. He's since gone on to record seasons of 23 points and 14 points last season. 

While he may not agree with Tanev's description, Skinner knows he needs to be better than the past two years and so far he's tallied 15 points in 22 games. A great sign for someone making $9 million a season with a full no-movement clause.

One thing's for sure, we need Tanev mic'd up more.
