Ottawa Senators Forward May Be Done For Season
Ottawa Senators forward Shane Pinto has had shoulder surgery and may be out for the remainder of the season, according to head coach D.J. Smith. However, he also noted that the 21-year-old could return for a few games nearing the completion of the campaign.
Smith - Pinto had shoulder surgery. He is rehabbing. He may be done for the season, or he may be able to get back and play a few games late in the season.

It's hard not to feel bad for Pinto because of this. The youngster was set to play his first full season with the Senators and now his serious injury has essentially taken that away from him. If he doesn't return, his season ends with an assist in five total contests.
Pinto had high expectations heading into the regular season, as he left a fantastic first impression. In 12 games with the Senators last season, he had a goal and seven points. With that, he also scored 15 goals and had 32 points in 28 games in his sophomore season with the University of North Dakota before joining Ottawa.
Here's to hoping Pinto can recover ahead of schedule and fans are able to see him play a bit more before season's end.
