Kellman has spent the entirety of the 2021-22 season in the AHL with the San Jose Barracuda. In 10 games, the 27-year-old center had a goal and four points. With this kind of production, the Sharks did not call the forward up to join their NHL roster.
Over the two previous seasons, Kellman suited up in 39 total games with the Sharks. In them, he scored four goals and recorded nine points. Yet, he also had a very strong season with the Barracuda last year, too. In 19 games, he scored eight goals and had a notable 21 points. It seemed that he was ready to take on a full-time NHL role from here, but that just did not occur.
It's rather likely that Kellman will end up back in the SHL from here. He certainly should be capable of doing well there, too, as he had 34 points in 45 games with Brynas IF during the 2018-19 season. Wherever he ends up going next, we'd like to wish him the best of luck.
