Tuesday Game Between Capitals And Flyers Postponed

Now, there's only one game remaining before the NHL is paused on Wednesday. Tuesday night's contest between the Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers has officially been postponed.

The Capitals have multiple players out, as Nicklas Backstrom, T.J. Oshie and Evgeny Kuznetsov are all currently in COVID-19 protocol. With that, Daniel Sprong and Justin Schultz left practice early on Tuesday to receive more tests, so they very well could be joining them.

The Flyers are also dealing with COVID-19, as center Kevin Hayes just entered protocol on Monday. With that, forwards Morgan Frost and Max Willman are currently in it, too. Therefore, it makes sense for the Flyers to not play on Tuesday, either.

With this news, the NHL has now postponed 50 total games this season. Yet, the grand bulk of them came during the last week or so, as 45 contests have been postponed due to the rise of COVID-19 cases. It very well could hit 51 by the end of Tuesday, too, as the Vegas Golden Knights-Tampa Bay Lightning very well could suffer the same fate, too.
