Two Players Placed On Waivers

The Winnipeg Jets have placed forward Riley Nash on waivers. The Florida Panthers have also done the same thing with defenseman Kevin Connauton.

Nash signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Jets during the offseason. In 15 contests this season, he has no points and a minus-1 rating. The 32-year-old center spent last season with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Toronto Maple Leafs. In 37 regular season games with Columbus, he had two goals and seven points. With the Leafs, he only suited up in two playoff games and did not record a point.

Connauton played each of the last two seasons with the Panthers. In 13 games this season with Florida, he has been held off the scoresheet in each of them and has a plus-4 rating. Last season, he only appeared in seven games and recorded an assist.

A lot of teams are dealing with multiple injuries right now, so perhaps we could see one or even both of them claimed. We will have to wait and see!
