Ugly Video: Blackhawks Khaira Stretchered Off After Massive Hit From Rangers' Trouba
Chicago Blackhawks forward Jujhar Khaira was stretchered off the ice on Tuesday night after a huge hit from New York Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba.
Khaira was visibly shaken up from the collision and the team announced after the game he suffered an 'upper-body blow'. The good news for everyone involved was the fact Khaira was responsive and coherent at the hospital.
Khaira is a tough cookie as while he was waiting for more tests at the hospital, word is he wanted to go back out on the ice. Hockey's a fast game and it's unfortunate plays like this happen. The hit occurred during the second period and please be warned, it was an ugly incident:

Blackhawks statement: "Despite the significant injury, his prognosis is excellent, and we expect a full recovery. At this point, it is too early to put a timeline on return to play.”
