Video: Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner Scores Beautiful Goal

After blocking a shot in the defensive zone, Columbus Blue Jackets' forward Boone Jenner found himself on a breakaway and beat Dallas Stars' goaltender Jake Oettinger with a fantastic backhand move.

Jenner now has 11 goals and four helpers in 21 games this season. Thus, the 28-year-old has been off to a marvelous start and perhaps being named the Jackets' new captain is a big reason for his offensive outburst. It's magnificent to see and he is only two points away from tying his total of 17 from last season. Keep in mind, he reached that in 41 games.

Although Jenner's goal was a nice one, the Blue Jackets would fall to the Dallas Stars by a 3-2 final score. With the loss, Columbus is now 12-9-0 and fifth in the Metropolitan Division. The Stars, on the other hand, are now 12-7-2 and have won six straight contests.
