Video: Blue Jackets' Laine Scores In Return
For the first time in two months, Patrik Laine was in the lineup for the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night. He didn't look rusty, though, as he scored after receiving a nice feed from Jakub Voracek.
Before his injury, Laine was lighting up the league. As a result of this, he now has four goals and 11 points in just 10 games. This is a big year for the 23-year-old, as he is looking to bounce back from his 24-point campaign in 46 games last season. So far, he's certainly off to a good start.
The Blue Jackets benefitted from his return, as they went on to defeat the Nashville Predators in the shootout. With this, Columbus now has a 15-13-1 record and are in sixth place in the Metropolitan Division. As a whole, they have been exceeding expectations so far, but need Laine to keep playing this well to be a playoff team.
Nevertheless, welcome back Patrik!
