Video: Brayden Point Scores Beautiful Goal In Return
For the first time in over a month, Brayden Point was back in the lineup for the Tampa Bay Lightning. He didn't look rusty at all, though, as he scored an awesome goal. While on a two-on-one, he surprised everyone by stopping and then roofed it past Samuel Montembeault.
Although the Lightning were dominating without Point in the lineup, it's apparent that they are still thrilled that he has returned. Goals like this one show just how fantastic of an offensive player he is. On the night, he also had another goal and an assist. With this, he now has nine goals and 16 points in 17 contests this season.
His contributions were a big reason why the Lightning would defeat the Montreal Canadiens in overtime by a 5-4 final score. The Lightning now sport a 21-6-4 record, while the Canadiens are 7-21-4. Yet, even with their records being immensely different, this was a very entertaining game between last season's Stanley Cup finalists.
It will be exciting to see what Point does from here. It's good to have him back.
