Video: Ducks' Benoit Fights Capitals' Wilson

In Monday night's game between the Anaheim Ducks and Washington Capitals, defenseman Simon Benoit and Tom Wilson dropped the gloves. This also happened to be Benoit's first NHL fight and it's clear that he didn't end up with an easy opponent for it.

This fight was in response to a hit Benoit threw on John Carlson earlier in the contest. Wilson was standing up for Washington's star defenseman, which is why this unexpected tilt occurred.

Although Benoit did not get in too many punches, he does deserve some respect for answering the bell against one of the league's toughest players in Wilson. It could have went a lot worse for him, but overall, it wasn't a bad tilt at the end of the day.
