Video: Islanders' Chara And Predators' Trenin Fight

Even at 44 years old, New York Islanders defenseman Zdeno Chara can still dominate fights. He showed just that on Thursday night when he fought Nashville Predators forward Yakov Trenin and won with ease.

This fight occurred after Trenin threw a big hit on defenseman Sebastian Aho (not to be confused with the star center from the Carolina Hurricanes). From here, Trenin found himself in a very bad position, as his jersey was pulled over his head. Once the fight was completed, Trenin's face was covered in blood, so it's fair to say Chara landed some heavy punches in this scrap.

Trenin deserves a lot of respect for answering the bell against the 6'9" future Hall of Famer. The same can be said for Chara, as it's always nice to see a player stand up for his teammate.

Chara and Trenin also fought during the 2019-20 season. In that tilt, Trenin landed himself a memorable right that stunned Chara. It's a shame that the Islanders and Predators aren't playing each other again this season, as it would have been fun to see these two get into a third fight.
