Video: Kraken's Mark Giordano Scores Against Flames
In Thursday night's contest between the Seattle Kraken and Calgary Flames, Mark Giordano scored against his former team with a hard wrist shot.
It's always nice to see a player score against their former club, but it's especially the case when it comes to Giordano. The 38-year-old defenseman just finished a marvelous 15-year tenure with the team and of course was their captain for his last eight seasons there. Thus, this one felt a little more special for fans to see.
Giordano's night didn't stop there either, as he also had two assists. This could be the kind of game that helps him move past his cold start to the season. In 26 games, he now has four goals to go along seven helpers.
With Giordano having one year left on his contract and the Kraken being way out of playoff contention, one has to wonder if a reunion with the Flames is on the way. Alas, for now, the Kraken captain will be aiming to keep playing well against his old team.
