Video: Lightning's Taylor Raddysh Scores First NHL Goal
Tampa Bay Lightning forward Taylor Raddysh scored his first NHL goal in Saturday night's game against the Boston Bruins. It was a very nice one, too, as he deked goaltender Jeremy Swayman out beautifully while on the penalty kill.
Raddysh is in his first season with the Lightning. The 2016 second-round pick showed signs of being NHL ready for a few seasons down in the AHL, but he was a victim of Tampa Bay's ridiculously strong forward depth. Now, with their multiple departures over the summer, he's become a mainstay in their lineup.
In 22 games so far this season, Raddysh now has a goal and four points. As he continues to get used to playing in the sport's most competitive league, it'll be intriguing to see how much he grows from here. Keep in mind, he's still just 23 years old. Goals like that one show that the rookie has strong potential.
