Video: Loui Eriksson Scores First Goal With Arizona Coyotes
In his 26th game with the team, Loui Eriksson finally scored his first regular season goal as a member of the Arizona Coyotes. It was certainly a close one, as it just ever so slightly crossed the line.

The Coyotes acquired Eriksson as a part of the Conor Garland-Oliver Ekman-Larsson trade with the Vancouver Canucks this offseason. Due to the fact that he has one year left on his deal and they are rebuilding, the Coyotes were willing to eat his $6 million cap hit. Although he now only has the goal and five points, it's been a good move for him personally because he's back to playing on a nightly basis.
This goal is also big for Eriksson personally, as it is his first one since the 2019-20 season. There's no question that these last few years have been tough on the 36-year-old winger, so props to him for finally breaking the ice. Who knows? Perhaps we will see him score a bit more often as the season continues.
The Coyotes would end up falling to the New York Rangers by a 3-2 final score, though. With this, they now have a 5-21-2 record, while the Blueshirts are 19-7-3.
