Video: Nick Ritchie Scores First Goal With Maple Leafs

In his 27th game with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets, forward Nick Ritchie finally scored his first goal. The 26-year-old winger received a nice feed in front by teammate Ondrej Kase before beating Elvis Merzlikins with a quick wrist shot.

Although Ritchie started off his tenure with the Leafs slowly, it seems that he is turning things around. He now has a goal and five assists over his last eight games. That's very solid production from him and it would be fantastic for Toronto if he can keep this up from here.

On the season, Ritchie now has a goal and seven assists in 26 games. It will be intriguing to see what's next in store for the power forward. Keep in mind, he did have 15 goals and 26 points in 56 games last season with the Boston Bruins, so he certainly is capable of doing more.
