Video: Penguins' Aston-Reese And Sabres' Thompson Fight

In Friday night's game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres, Zach Aston-Reese would drop the gloves with Tage Thompson.

The fight occurred after Aston-Reese threw a big hit on defenseman Jacob Bryson. This led Thompson to stand up for his teammate and the pair would immediately engage in fisticuffs.

Although Thompson is 6'7" and simply a lot bigger, Aston-Reese still managed to handle himself well during the tilt. There were moments where Thompson's size advantage worked in his favor naturally, but Aston-Reese did deliver a monstrous right as the fight concluded. Overall, it may have been an unexpected fight, but it surely was entertaining.

Overall, this was a fun contest between both clubs in general. The Penguins would emerge victorious in overtime by a 3-2 final score. With this, Pittsburgh is now 16-8-5, while the Sabres sport a 10-15-5 record.
