Video: Rangers Forward Kicked Out vs Flyers for Charging
Anytime the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers play each other it feels like something crazy happens and that was once again the case on Wednesday night. Not only did Barclay Goodrow get a puck right in the face, Rangers forward Dryden Hunt was kicked out for charging.
Hunt who is trying to make a name for himself in New York is a 26-year-old forward who is undrafted out of the Western Hockey League. He's in his first season with the Rangers after playing for the Arizona Coyotes and Florida Panthers.
Hunt plays the game hard and has been a bright spot for the Rangers so far in 2021-22. After some nights with only eight minutes of ice-time, Hunt has played much more recently and has been productive, scoring in two straight games.
This play however, there's no place in the game for it and can't blame the refs for kicking Hunt out for this charge:
