Video: Red Wings' Larkin Scores First Career Hat Trick

Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin had a game to remember on Saturday night, as he recorded his first career hat trick. Each of them were certainly very important because the Red Wings would defeat the New Jersey Devils by a 5-2 final score.

Besides his three goals, Larkin also added an assist, so it's fair to state that he had himself an excellent contest. The 25-year-old center is continuing to dominate this campaign, as he now has 15 goals and 29 points in just 27 games. With this, he has already passed the 23 points he had last season in 44 games, so he absolutely is bouncing back nicely.

The Red Wings have been off to a great start this season, too, especially when remembering that were expected to be near the bottom of the NHL standings. At this juncture, they have a 15-13-3 record and are fourth in the Atlantic Division. It isn't surprising that Larkin's dominant start is playing a big role in this.

Nevertheless, congrats on your first hat trick, Dylan!
