Video: Wayne Simmonds and Marcus Foligno Drop the Gloves
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota Wild don't play each other very often but it was obvious on Saturday night they don't like each other. During the first period a scrum ensued and Wayne Simmonds and Marcus Foligno ended up going toe-to-toe.
Simmonds was promoted to the Leafs first line for Saturday's game after Mitch Marner was ruled out with injury. While he doesn't fight a ton, Simmonds is one of the only Leafs who is willing to drop their gloves so it was a great sign for Leafs Nation to see him sticking up for his teammates.
Foligno may have come off the bench to fight Simmonds, so this could be reviewed by the league on Sunday. It was kind of funny because the two weren't even the ones who started the scrum and wouldn't you know are the two who ended up scrapping.
