Adding Perfetti for the tournament is a huge boost for Canada, as he is one of the best prospects in the entire sport right now. He also participated in last year's event, too. In seven games, he had two goals and six points. This time around, he should be even more of an offensive threat, as the 19-year-old keeps improving.
Perfetti has been off to an excellent sophomore season with the Manitoba Moose. In 17 games, he has six goals and 15 points. This is coming after a campaign where he scored nine goals and recorded 17 points, so he's been quite good at the AHL level since entering. He also appeared in his first two NHL games with the Jets this season, but failed to get on the scoresheet.
Nonetheless, Perfetti is certainly a player to watch closely in this tournament. He should be a real difference-maker for them.
