3 Potential Landing Spots For Jack Roslovic

Like we reported yesterday, the Columbus Blue Jackets are currently shopping hometown kid, Jack Roslovic. After recording 34 points in 48 games with Columbus last season, he's taken a notable step back in production - as evidenced by his five goals and nine assists in 31 contests. Yet, a lot of this can be blamed on his playing time being lowered by almost five whole minutes per game compared to last season. Because he's so young and just showed a lot of promise last season, there should be a lot of interest in his services. Here are three specific teams that come to mind.

New York Rangers: The Rangers will be adding at least one forward by the time the trade deadline passes. Roslovic should be on their radar. Not only is he capable of playing center, but he also has had plenty of reps at right wing, too. Given the fact that one of their primary needs is a middle-six to top-six forward, it wouldn't be surprising for them to contact their Metropolitan Division rival.

Anaheim Ducks: The Ducks have been big surprises this season, as they have an 18-11-7 record. If they can continue to play this well, they will be in the playoffs come this spring. However, even with this being the case, they really could use another forward on their roster. Roslovic could be an excellent fit there, as he not only could make their top six but also is still just 24 years old. Thus, he would be a part of their young identity.

Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers need a third-line center desperately, and Roslovic could fill that need. That is especially the case if he's able to replicate the offensive success he had last season after being traded to the Blue Jackets. With that, he only carries just over a $1.8 million cap hit, so Edmonton wouldn't have much trouble finding a way to fit him in. They also could help the young forward find his previous scoring touch when looking at how stacked their offense is.
