Arizona Coyotes Place Defenseman On Waivers
The Arizona Coyotes have placed defenseman Cam Dineen on waivers.
When looking at Dineen, it seems possible that another team may be willing to give him a shot. The 2016 third-round pick is still just 23 years old and is just getting his NHL career started this season. With this, he also only has a $750,000 cap hit, so he could be a good addition for a team in need of a defenseman right now - even if it's just temporarily.
In 14 games this season with the Coyotes, Dineen has four assists and a minus-5 rating. Overall, those numbers aren't too bad. However, it's also become clear that his spot on Arizona's depth chart has been lowered, so being claimed off waivers may be the best thing for him.
Dineen also suited up four games this season with the Tucson Roadrunners. In them, he scored a goal and added two assists. If he goes unclaimed, Tucson will certainly be happy to have him back.
Alas, we'll have to wait and see what happens with Dineen from here.
