Boston Bruins Lose Center
Boston Bruins center Erik Haula has entered COVID protocol.
The Bruins are set to play the Dallas Stars on Sunday, so it certainly isn't good timing to lose Haula. The 30-year-old has found a new home on the Bruins' second line with David Pastrnak and Taylor Hall. Since then, Boston has been on a real tear, but now, they will be forced to make adjustments.
In 40 games this season, Haula has five goals to go along with 11 assists. It was a bad, underwhelming start to the regular season, but he has since heated up significantly. Since the start of the new year, he has scored four goals and seven assists in 15 contests. That is certainly a nice way to bounce back, to say the least.
In response to this news, the Bruins have recalled forward Steven Fogarty. This season, the 28-year-old has been having a solid campaign with the Providence Bruins. In 26 games, he has eight goals and 23 total points. He will be looking to get into his first NHL action this season.
