Brutal News for the Colorado Avalanche
The Colorado Avalanche are one of the latest teams to be hit with a COVID case and it's reached their leadership team. Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog has entered the league's protocol list and will be away from the team.
So far it's only Landeskog from the Avs who has been placed in protocol so we will wait to see if any of his teammates become infectious. The team last played on Saturday night in a thrilling comeback against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Avalanche captain is having himself another great season in Colorado, putting up 14 goals and 21 assists in the 26 games he's appeared in. Last week he was on fire, recording seven points in three games and was named the NHL's first star. Now the NHL's biggest problem is trying to get in the way of his hot streak.

Colorado takes on the Seattle Kraken on Monday night and of course will be doing so without their captain. Look for Nazem Kadri to get some more ice time and try and fill Landeskog's shoes on the team's first line.
