Kraken Claim Forward Off Waivers
The Seattle Kraken have claimed Karson Kuhlman off waivers from the Boston Bruins.
When it was announced that Kuhlman was placed on waivers, it seemed very likely that a team would scoop him up. Although he's not a star by any means, his $725,000 cap hit is very affordable and helps make him a solid depth forward to have around. This is especially true with the rise of COVID-19 cases and injuries around the league.
With the Bruins, Kuhlman was primarily an extra forward. Now as a member of the Kraken, he could be given more chances to play on a regular basis. Truthfully, this looks like it could be a good move for the 26-year-old.
In 19 games this season with the Bruins, Kuhlman had a goal and an assist. Although he has gotten into a decent amount of action, he only played one game in January with the team. His spot on the depth chart had also been lowered, but now, he's being given a fresh start.
In 75 career games with the Bruins, Kuhlman had seven goals, eight assists, and a plus-2 rating.
