Money On The Board: NHL's Best Bets Jan. 12/22
Hello and welcome to Money on the Board and boy, oh boy are we heating up! Last night we went a perfect 3-0 as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins and San Jose Sharks all came out victorious and now I sit at 10-6 on the calendar year.
Let's keep the good times rollin' and see if we can have back-to-back perfect nights. Wednesday only has three games on the board so let's sprinkle a little action on everything.
Montreal Canadiens @ Boston Bruins
Odds: Canadiens (4.00) Bruins (1.25)
Worth Considering: Not the rivalry it once was, but anytime the Bruins and Habs play it's entertaining hockey. Two teams headed in opposite directions. The Canadiens have lost three straight and the Bruins are starting to catch fire. Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak have recorded back-to-back multi-goal games and tonight expect much of the same. Montreal is 1-7-2 in their last 10 and won't get it done.
My Pick: Even with a huge number for Montreal, riding with the Bruins
Seattle Kraken @ Dallas Stars
Odds: Kraken (2.75) Stars (1.47)
Worth Considering: Seattle is having a rough go to say the least, losers of their last six games. They continue to have trouble scoring and the Stars don't put up a lot of goals themselves, ranking 20th with 2.81 per game, meanwhile the Kraken sit two behind them ranked 22nd. Jake Oettinger projects to get the start against Philipp Grubauer and if you love over/under, I would take the under in this game. Dallas has a healthy squad and the Kraken have won once in 10 games.
My Pick: Lonestar state baby!
Toronto Maple Leafs @ Arizona Coyotes
Odds: Maple Leafs (1.31) Coyotes (3.6)
Worth Considering: Much like Montreal another huge number for the Coyotes. Even with the Maple Leafs playing last night in Vegas, look for them to steam roll through the desert. Auston Matthews returns home, Michael Bunting returns to face his former team and Petr Mrazek gets the start. He's 5-0-1 lifetime against the 'Yotes with two shutouts.
My Pick: Join Leafs Nation tonight!
Alright folks, get your popcorn ready and enjoy tonight's action. Tonight we cheer for the Bruins, Stars and Maple Leafs after a perfect night on Tuesday. What a time to be alive.
