New Jersey Devils Defenseman Placed On Waivers
The New Jersey Devils have placed defenseman Colton White on waivers.
White was dealt the same fate earlier this season and went unclaimed. Since he is still 24 years old, there could be some interest around the league for his services this time around. Furthermore, the NHL has been dealing with a lot of injuries and illnesses, so teams could look at him as a potential depth option.
In eight games this season, White has two assists and a plus-4 rating. He also has appeared in at least one game for the Devils in each of the last four seasons. Over the entirety of his NHL career thus far, he has 19 games under his belt and the two assists from this year.
White has also suited up in five games with the Utica Comets this season, where has three goals. That's not too shabby at all from a defenseman, so maybe teams could find that kind of production in the AHL appealing.
It will be interesting to see if a team takes a shot on White from here. If not, he will once again be in Utica and try to eventually land another call-up with the Devils.
