NHL Rumors: 4 Teams Could Target Claude Giroux
According to Dennis Bernstein and David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, and Minnesota Wild are all potential landing spots for Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux.

The Flyers and Giroux will have discussions about what they should do moving forward. He has a no-movement clause, so he would need to accept a trade to go elsewhere. It isn't out of the question, as the Flyers currently have a 13-22-8 record and are sporting a 13-game losing streak. If Giroux wants the chance to win a Stanley Cup this season, he could be open to the idea of being a rental.
Giroux would be a nice fit on the first line for the Ducks. However, playing in Anaheim would likely result in him having to move back down the middle. At this point of the season, they have a 21-16-8 record and could be a playoff team come this spring. However, when looking at their roster, they would benefit from adding another top-six forward and Giroux fits that description.
Giroux would be an excellent answer for the Bruins' issues at the second-line center position. A line of him, David Pastrnak, and Taylor Hall would be lethal and make the Bruins look like more of a threat in the Atlantic Division. With their core getting older, it would be wise to try to go on one last Stanley Cup run.
On the Avalanche, Pagnotta noted that Giroux would likely play on the wing. That ultimately makes sense, as they of course have Nathan MacKinnon and Nazem Kadri as their top two centers. However, they would benefit from having another right winger on their team, too.
As for the Wild, they have been linked J.T. Miller, so seeing them pursue Giroux wouldn't be surprising, either. They would benefit from adding one more big piece to their roster.
If Giroux is open to a move, it wouldn't be surprising to see more than just these four teams pursue him. Until then, we will have to wait and see what happens on that front.
