NHL Rumors: Bruins Interested In Blue Jackets Forward
According to Elliotte Friedman, Max Domi could find himself moved to the Boston Bruins by the trade deadline.
Friedman noted that since the Bruins now have locked up goaltender Tuukka Rask, they can focus on improving other areas of their lineup. Domi would be a good addition to the Bruins. He has experience playing center, and that's an area Boston needs some help with. If they'd rather play him on left wing, that would work, too. Jake DeBrusk of course has requested a trade and will likely be dealt soon. Once this happens, it would open a spot on the third line for Domi.
In 24 games this season, Domi has eight goals and 16 points. Adding that kind of production to the Bruins would be very good for the team. They have had notable issues with their secondary scoring. Although he is a very solid player, he wouldn't necessarily be the big prize that Boston is looking for - especially when it comes to the 2C position. Yet, he could still be a sweet rental for the middle-six.
We will have to wait and see if Friedman's prediction comes true.
