NHL Rumors: Buffalo Sabres Need a Goaltender

The Buffalo Sabres can't catch a break this season when it comes to health and we're not even talking about Jack Eichel. Look no further than Tuesday's matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning where two goalies went down. The team continues to deal with a wide range of injury concerns and once again it's hit their goaltending depth. The team has announced goaltenders Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Malcom Subban are both out long term.

Luukkonen is week-to-week and Subban is considered month-to-month. This comes after the team is already without Craig Anderson who isn't expected back this season and Dustin Tokarski who is week-to-week battling COVID-19.

Because they need a goalie to play of course, the Sabres have signed Michael Houser to a one-year deal worth league minimum $750,000, and the team has recalled Aaron Dell. Both goalies have recorded a .900 sv% and a .872 sv % respectfully this season.
