NHL Rumors: Trade Market Heating Up for Canucks' J.T Miller

While the Vancouver Canucks are not shopping their leading scorer J.T Miller, they are listening to trade offers with some potential of moving him. It's been recently reported by Pierre LeBrun of TSN if other teams have serious interest they will need to pounce before the March 21 trade deadline.

Miller has been an absolute beast in Vancouver this season, leading the team with 44 points in 41 games. He also leads their forward group in hits and plays the game as tough as they come. There's no doubt a number of playoff bound teams have been in touch with Canucks president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford. The Canucks executive also has a history of making bold deals, just ask Pittsburgh Penguin fans.

The Canucks forward is the oldest of their 'core' up front and could fetch the team a huge return to help stock their organization with young talent. They didn't draft well under Jim Benning and now Rutherford and company have to clean up the mess.

As for teams involved there's reportedly been a number of them who have at least reached out for preliminary talks including the Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers. It feels like an eastern conference team would win these sweepstakes. The Canucks have a massive decision to make and it sounds like we'll know the answer sometime in the very near future.
