Since being acquired by the Penguins last season, he's been an excellent fit for them. Following the move, he scored nine goals and had two assists in 14 contests. This season hasn't been much different for him, either. In 29 games, he has 11 goals and 20 total points.
When seeing as how he's been a perfect fit for Pittsburgh, they should seriously consider re-signing him this offseason. He's helped provide very solid secondary scoring and obviously comes with a plethora of playoff experience. A player with that mix is always beneficial to have.
Yet, if the Penguins for some reason decide not to bring the veteran back, there will be plenty of suitors for his services. This is especially the case if he keeps this pace of play up from here.
