Philadelphia Flyers Forward To Miss Time
Philadelphia Flyers forward Kevin Hayes will be out for the next three to four weeks due to having a procedure done to drain fluid from his adductor region.
It's been such a hard season for Hayes thus far. The veteran center has dealt with numerous injuries and just hasn't been able to stay in the lineup as regularly as he'd hope. Right before the start of the regular season, he also had abdominal surgery and missed significant time, too.
In 20 games this season so far, Hayes has three goals, six assists, and a minus-12 rating. It's been a down year for him offensively, but that is understandable given how hurt he has been.
Yet, even with this being the case, it is still very bad news for the Flyers to lose Hayes again. At this point of the season, they are desperately trying to get back on track, but are failing to do so. They are currently on their second eight-game losing streak of the season. Due to this, they have fallen to 13-18-7 and the playoffs are starting to look more and more out of reach. Losing one of their top forwards will not help with this, either.
Here's to hoping Hayes recovers on schedule from his procedure. It's very challenging not to feel bad for him right now.
