Philadelphia Flyers Forward To Miss Time
Philadelphia Flyers forward Wade Allison will be out week-to-week due to an MCL sprain.
This is brutal news for Allison, as the young winger was just called up by the Flyers. Thus, in just his first game back with the NHL club, he sustained this injury and will be forced to miss time.
Allison is viewed as one of Philadelphia's top forward prospects. As a 23-year-old rookie last season, he scored four goals and had three assists in 14 games. This kind of production was solid from him, so there was understandable excitement about his most recent call-up. Yet, for now, at least, it will have to be paused.
Allison played in seven games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. During them, he had three goals to go along with an assist. His pace of production has been lower, as he had nine points in 10 games with the Phantoms last season. Still, though, he was finding ways to at least put the puck in the net.
Here's to hoping Allison can return for the Flyers soon and get more chances at the NHL level from there.
