Tuesday's Hurricanes And Flyers Game Postponed
The NHL has announced that Tuesday's contest between the Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers has been postponed.
The NHL noted that this game is being postponed due to a rise of COVID-19 cases currently impacting the Flyers. Multiple players have entered protocol over the last week, and it feels very likely that more will follow from here. Some players currently in protocol for them include Claude Giroux, Ivan Provorov, Justin Braun, and Travis Konecny.
As an attempt to not spread the virus further, it does make sense for this game to be postponed. At this said juncture, a new date for the contest has yet to be released.
The Flyers may benefit from this decision, as they are once again struggling mightily. They have lost their last five games and now have a 13-15-7 record. The Hurricanes are among the best teams in the league, so going up against them shorthanded would have been very challenging.
