Two More NHL Games Postponed
The NHL has announced that January 17th's game between the New Jersey Devils and Toronto Maple Leafs has been postponed. With that, the same can be said for January 18th's contest between the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers.
It isn't surprising to see more games that are set to be played in Canada postponed. This is because they are currently enforcing attendance restrictions. By playing these games at a later date, more fans will be able to attend them. This is assuming things improve, of course.
The NHL also postponed January 15th's game between the New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens because of this very reason.
Toronto will now embark on a six-game road trip. They are not scheduled to return to Scotiabank Arena until January 26th when they host the Anaheim Ducks. The Oilers, on the other hand, are still scheduled to play on January 10th against the Ottawa Senators. If that game ends up being postponed, they wouldn't return to the ice until January 20th's contest versus the Florida Panthers.
