Video: Avalanche's Makar Scores Another Beautiful Goal
Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar just continues to dominate. In Tuesday night's game against the Nashville Predators, the 23-year-old showed great edgework while carrying the puck before roofing it past Juuse Saros.
This was a pretty important goal, as it tied the game up in the third period. Although the Avalanche would end up losing to the Predators in overtime, they still secured a point because of Makar's excellent solo effort.
On the night, Makar had this goal and two helpers. With this, he now has a ridiculous 16 goals and 18 assists in just 29 games this season. It isn't very common to see a defenseman produce at over a point-per-game pace, but Makar is making it look extremely easy to do so. In 130 career games, he also has 128 points. That's just insanity.
It seems that Makar provides hockey fans with a highlight reel moment every time he steps on the ice. It'll be fun to see what the star defenseman does next.
