Video: Flames' Richardson Ejected After High Hit On Lightning's Joseph
In Thursday night's contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Calgary Flames forward Brad Richardson was ejected for checking Mathieu Joseph in the head.
Following the hit, Joseph was holding his face and in some pain. However, he remained in the game, so he thankfully didn't sustain any significant injury from it.
Rookie forward Boris Katchouk also showed signs of being a grizzled veteran, as he immediately confronted Richardson and got into a scuffle with the 36-year-old. That should help him gain more respect from his Lightning teammates.
At this juncture, NHL Player Safety hasn't announced that Richardson has a hearing. If that remains the case as the day continues, he won't be facing any discipline. We'll have to wait and see what occurs on that front.
