Video: Panthers' Bennett Records Hat Trick

In Friday night's game against the Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett recorded his second hat trick of the 2021-22 season.

All three of Bennett's goals came during the second half of the game, so it's fair to say he finished the contest very strongly. In 28 games now on the season, he has 14 goals and seven helpers. With that, he also has an impressive plus-17 rating. 

Immediately after being traded from the Calgary Flames to the Panthers last season, Bennett thrived and hasn't stopped since. He is finally blossoming into the player Calgary thought they were getting when they selected him fourth overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Yet, unfortunately for them, it's with the Panthers.

As a whole, the Panthers played a fantastic game. They defeated the Stars by a 7-1 final score. With this, they now have a 25-7-5 record, while the Stars have fallen to 18-14-2.
