Video: Two Fights At Once During Wild Vs. Blackhawks Game
The Minnesota Wild took care of the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night, scoring two goals in the first five minutes of the game and ultimately winning the game 5-1 and improving to 23-10-3 this season. The Wild's Ryan Hartman scored two goals despite dealing with stomach issues while playing against his former team in his hometown of Chicago, while All-Star linemate Kirill Kaprizov contributed with two assists.
The Blackhawks tried to get going later in the first period when Riley Stillman challenged Brandon Duhaime to a fight, to which he quickly obliged. Both players got some good shots in, but Stillman clearly got the better of Duhaime, landing some heavy blows before falling to the ice. While this was happening, Blackhawks forward MacKenzie Entwistle and the Wild's Connor Dewar, who was playing in just his 9th career NHL game, decided to got at it as well, in a scene somewhat reminiscent of some old-time hockey:
Chicago and Minnesota will play again tonight in what could be a pretty rough game, especially if either team is able to take control of the score early as the Wild did last night. Catch the action live at 9:00 PM EST.
