Golden Knights Place Forward On Waivers
The Vegas Golden Knights have placed Adam Brooks on waivers.
The Golden Knights needed to open up a roster spot because of Jack Eichel's return, so they opted to choose Brooks as that player. If he goes unclaimed, he will play for the Henderson Silver Knights of the AHL.
Brooks has had a bit of a wild year this season. He was first placed on waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs and claimed by the Montreal Canadiens. Yet, his stay with Montreal was very short, as he would be claimed by Vegas through waivers after. Now, the 25-year-old could be again for the third time this campaign.
In 11 games between the Canadiens and Golden Knights this season, he has two goals and an assist. With Vegas specifically, he scored his two goals in seven contests. There could be a team willing to take a chance on him, as he can provide decent depth scoring when called upon and carries a very affordable $725,000 cap hit.
Brooks hasn't played since December 31st's against the Anaheim Ducks, so that also could make teams a bit hesitant about claiming him, however. We shall find out on Wednesday afternoon if Brooks will be joining his fourth organization of the season.
