Help On The Way For Panthers
Florida Panthers forward Noel Acciari is another step closer to returning to the team, as he has been called up from his conditioning stint with the Charlotte Checkers.
Acciari was placed on his conditioning stint last week, but it appears that the Panthers feel that the veteran forward is already looking ready to return. He played two games with the Checkers and was held off of the scoresheet.
Acciari has been a very solid bottom-six forward for the Panthers since arriving there during the 2019-20 campaign. In 107 total games with the team, he has 24 goals, 14 assists, and a plus-2 rating. With the Panthers preparing for their inevitable playoff run, it's great news that they are getting more depth to their forward group now.
It will be interesting to see where Acciari fits into the lineup from here. At this point of the year, they have a 32-10-5 record, so their lineup has been working. However, they will certainly be happy to have him back, as he's a solid two-way forward who can provide secondary goal-scoring.
Alas, the Panthers are set to play their next game on February 16th against the Carolina Hurricanes. It will be interesting to see if Acciari is officially ready to go then.
