Help On The Way For Senators
Connor Brown, Nikita Zaitsev, and Dylan Gambrell are all set to return for the Ottawa Senators when they play the New Jersey Devils on Monday night.
Although the Senators have a 14-22-4 record and are not going to be in the playoffs this spring, it is still nice to hear that they are getting so many players back. They have had a lot of injury trouble this season, and all three of these players had missed a decent chunk of time.
Brown sustained a broken jaw one month ago, but now he is finally ready to return to action. He has once again been one of Ottawa's best players this season, as he has five goals to go along with 14 assists. The 28-year-old has thrived since being traded there, so let's see if he's able to continue his success from here.
It's hard not to feel happy for Zaitsev, as he missed roughly two months due to a heel injury. The 30-year-old defenseman has a goal and an assist in 22 games played this season. Due to the severity of his injury, it was hard to determine how long he would be out, so it's great to see that he is returning.
Gambrell was out for a few weeks with an upper-body injury. The Senators will be happy to have him back in their bottom six. In 25 games this season, he has a goal, two assists, and a minus-2 rating.
