NHL Rumors: Teams Expressing Interest In Canadiens Forward
According to Elliotte Friedman, some Western Conference teams are expressing interest in Montreal Canadiens forward Christian Dvorak.
Dvorak was just acquired by the Canadiens from the Arizona Coyotes this past summer. However, the 26-year-old, much like the majority of Montreal's roster, has struggled this season. In 34 games, he has seven goals, nine assists, and a minus-17 rating. Yet, although it's been a down year for him, it's clear that teams are still open to adding him to their roster. It makes sense, as he has had a handful of very solid seasons in recent years.
With the Canadiens having an 8-31-7 record, as well as new management, they are expected to make a number of changes to their roster. Dvorak is one of many Canadiens currently in the rumor mill because of this. He also has three years left on his contract after this one, so he would be more than a rental if acquired elsewhere.
It will be intriguing to see if Dvorak has a new home by the deadline's end. With teams at least considering the possibility of adding him, it doesn't seem too out of the question.
