Senators Forward Placed On Waivers

Clark Bishop has been placed on waivers by the Ottawa Senators. 

For the majority of his professional career, Bishop has split time between the NHL and AHL each season. This year with Ottawa has carried on this trend. In nine games with the NHL team, he has recorded an assist and sports a minus-3 rating. With their AHL affiliate, the Belleville Senators, he failed to record a point in five total contests thus far.

Bishop carries an $800,000 contract for the remainder of the season, so there could be a team willing to take him on if they need forward depth. If not, he will head back to Belleville and look to improve upon his statistics from here. 

In 47 career NHL games between the Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators, Bishop has one goal, seven assists, and a minus-8 rating. We will find out Monday afternoon if the 25-year-old gets claimed by another franchise or not.
