Toronto Maple Leafs Bring Back Forward
The Toronto Maple Leafs have claimed Adam Brooks off waivers from the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Maple Leafs lost Brooks through this fashion during the beginning of the season to the Montreal Canadiens. From there, the 25-year-old would once again find himself placed on waivers but would be claimed by the Golden Knights. Now, his eventful season is continuing, as he once again is a Leaf.
In 18 NHL games with the Leafs during his first tenure with the team, he had four goals and four assists. He will once again be a very solid depth forward for them, as he is capable of producing decent secondary scoring when called upon.
In 11 contests this season between the Canadiens and Golden Knights, Brooks has two goals and an assist. He will now be aiming to build on those totals as a member of the Leafs again. It will also be interesting to see if they give him another shot at the NHL level or if he will be assigned to the Toronto Marlies. Either way, he should be effective for the organization.
Nevertheless, this is a good, no-risk decision by the Leafs. They have brought back a player they know very well for free.
