The Avs add Cogliano who's a 34-year-old veteran who's been around the block to say the least. The speedy winger has appeared in 56 games for the Sharks this season, posting four goals and 15 points. It's his first season in San Jose, after spending the past three seasons as a member of the Dallas Stars.
Cogliano has appeared in 1122 career NHL games, recording 425 points. His postseason resume includes 100 Stanley Cup playoff games with 29 points. He'll join the Avalanche and help them kill penalties and play a fourth-line checking role for the Cup contenders.
