Blue Jackets Trade Forward To Hurricanes
The Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Florida Panthers have completed a three-team trade. It's as followed:
Carolina Acquires: Max Domi, Tyler Inamato
Columbus Acquires: Aidan Hreschuk
Florida Acquires: Egor Korshkov, 2022 sixth-round pick
Domi of course headlines this trade. Carolina is getting even more help with their middle-six by adding Domi, so naturally, this is a move that should excite fans. However, what is even better is that only 25% of his salary will be on their salary cap. This is because Columbus retained 50% of it, while Florida retained another 25%.
Domi has been having a very solid season this year, as he has nine goals to go along with 32 points in 53 games played. Now that he's joining a far stronger team in Carolina, there's a chance his production could even increase from here.
Overall, this is a good move for the Hurricanes, as they have made their forward group only stronger. Let's see how the 27-year-old performs from here.
